What is a Dorky Swede, anyway?

DorkySwede is my handle on the Internet. Brian Larson is my real name. I put stuff here that I'm not sure I want to share on my 'professional' web site. My partner Bob and I live in Minneapolis, Minnesota, USA.

Friends and family are welcome here to catch up on what's happening and to use resources I've collected. Pages on the site include:

• Travels. Travel is our favorite hobby. Find details of our most recent trips and some upcoming plans here.
• Word play. I'm a logomaniac. Here you'll find definitions from some of my favorite words and some of my favorite quotes.
• Food. My oral fixation is obvious, because my second love after words is food. Find recipes here.
• Profile. What's the point of having an egotistic and narcissistic web site if I don't tell the world in nauseating detail about me?

BTW, I am an American citizen of mixed Scandinavian (Swedish and Norwegian) and German (Prussian and Luxemburger) descent. By choosing 'Swede' for my handle, I do not mean to disparage persons of those other heritages represented in my blood, or indeed, those of any heritages or those opposed to heritage designations.
